Jackson: No need to reveal donors to 2024 bid foes

Mayor Martin J. Walsh has called for the group opposing a Boston Olympics bid in 2024 to disclose the names of its donors, but Boston City Councilor Tito Jackson told Herald Radio the move would be unnecessary.
The group, No Boston Olympics, “is not putting forth a $14 billion proposal,” Jackson said.
“No Boston Olympics is not attempting to spend public funds. No Boston Olympics is not attempting to have the taxpayers of Boston be on the hook and held with the bag after there are overruns on a sporting event that, nine times out of 10, has financial overruns,” Jackson said.
“Why are we even having a conversation about the financing of No Boston Olympics?” he asked.
