NEVER ignore a fire alarm. Know your escape routes!
There were 36 guests in 18 rooms inside the Veranda House at the time the fire started, along with one night staff person who was working. All made it out alive🙏 #nantucket

I found out this morning that a friend of mine was in the Nantucket hotel at the time of the recent fire. From the time they heard the fire alarm until their room was fully engulfed, 4 minutes. Fortunately they escaped. NEVER ignore a fire alarm, know your escape routes!
