Bemidji is "bankland" USA.

Husband did two trips to Bemidji in the last four months. Not only were there lots of new Banks on the first trip but since then a couple more new ones. Land and resources ripe for taking....the forests, the farmland, everything. Lots of low income folks will be loosing their homes I suspect also. Arrrrgh*

Bank growth of noticeable proportions. If you are trusting in big banks then no worry, right? But if you know there are lots of natural resources around there, a person might be concerned. Plus this is an area with low incomes. Banks huh?

at a neighborhood gathering, someone predicted that the state will start selling lake shore land to raise revenue..

And just reading the occasional stories about how the DNR is trigger happy, killing wildlife instead of tranquilizing and transferring the stray deer and bears - this is not surprising. Might as well reduce the "natural resources" for the department to watch.

(Unless I am mixing apples and oranges..)

towards the wealthy and the hunters, miners, loggers, etc.....Lots of farm land that way also....more GMO, less family farms. More water resources also.
