3/6, Thurs 9am on KFAI 90.3 Hear Syrian American discuss the Syrian Revolution

Hear Minnesota Syrian-Americans Suzan Boulad and Mazen Halabi on Don Olson's Northern Sun program tomorrow from 9 - 10 am.

http://kfai.org/ you can stream online or listen to later.

Suzan and Mazen's interview will counter the widely disseminated misinformation about the Syrian revolution - that the uprising was created by the U.S. They will discuss the democratic roots of the uprising against the Assad dictatorship and why American peace activists should look more closely at the conflict in Syria.

Suzan Boulad is studying international law at the University of Minnesota Law School. Her family is from Homs, Syria.
She graduated with a BA in international law from Mills College.

Mazen Halabi, a Syrian-American community activist.
He left Syria following the Hama massacre in which more than 40,000 people were killed by the then President, Hafez Assad. He has advanced degrees in computer science and business and works in the computer industry. Mr. Halabi is the public relations director of Watan; a Syrian civil society organization. He lives with his wife and son in Champlin.
