It appears that Swanson is leading in a recent poll

and Erin Murphy was asked about it this morning on WCCO. Of course she said they are working hard. She is now third after Walz.

She was asked about having a "Metro team" and she dismissed it, saying that in 2014 Dayton-Smith was a metro team. Of course, in 2010 Dayton had Prettner Solon from Duluth but then she left and the Dayton Smith team ran for re-election. Replacing Smith at this point would have been a bad move.

Recently someone was almost bragging that, hey, the metro area has all the votes and I was thinking about the 2016 presidential elections, of course. Yes, we had the votes but the rural areas had their electoral votes.

Thus, we may win the governor post, but the senate is still a Republican one and I can see voters in outstate, which already is leaning right, getting pissed off and sending Republicans to the House.

Sigh..

A statewide name at the top of the ticket is a big deal, whether you're originally from the metro WhiskeyGrinder Jul 2018 #2
Agree. I do admire Walz for having won several times in a rural district question everything Jul 2018 #3

Yes, even his ties to the NRA.

I trust that if the nominee, he would be able to handle this.
