pearce locks out constituents

5 constituents and a photographer from @American_Bridge were locked out of steve pearce's (R-NM-02) meet & greet in Mimbres. Why? We carried signs and expressed contrary opinions. We were non-confrontational, did not attempt to bring signs in.

We attempted to enter the community center and found the door locked. Eventually, pearce's bouncer came to the door to let others in but would not let us in. We said that we were constituents who wanted to talk to pearce.

He replied that we were just going to make trouble. I said " We're not going to make trouble, just want to ask some questions." He replied, "Yeah, right." I attempted to hold onto the doorknob and he became a bit menacing. Decided not to create an incident.

Photographer recorded statements from us; hopefully will appear on @American_Bridge later this week. Meeting was poorly attended, 20-25 people including a few Democrats who got in. Contact inside reported typical pearce evasiveness and his supporters poorly informed.
