NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey failed to perform dozens of inspections on bridges that had already been determined to be potentially hazardous, according to a New York state audit.
The review released Friday by state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli found that the authority waited more than a year to conduct 47 inspections on bridges identified in earlier examinations as having conditions that, if ignored, could become dangerous. Most of the problems were on the George Washington Bridge.

(14,498 posts)Any way you do the math it comes out "patronage" out the wazoo. Which , of course, adds up to malfeasance, misfeasance and inefficiency.
So is Cuomo going to "get" Di Napoli now because this was released during an election year?

OTOH, I'm kind of liking Di Napoli. When and if *real* DEMS get control of this state party, Di Napoli deserves a close look.
