Freshly minted New York comptroller candidate Eliot Spitzer hit the airwaves Tuesday, submitting to an intense morning show interview that nearly reduced him to tears.
An emotional Spitzer took rapid fire questions from hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on MSNBCs Morning Joe, explaining, as tears welled in his eyes, that hes changed personally in the five years since he resigned in disgrace from the governorship after a prostitution scandal.
A lot of pain, a weepy Spitzer said after Brzezinski asked how he was different from the man who just five years ago was busted trysting with high-priced hookers.

Did they ask him any questions about that?

(14,498 posts)But it remains the only relevant question. I don't know that much about his opponent, Scott Stringer, other than that he's been around forever, is a distant relative of Bella Abzug, and is really popular with politicians and other establishment types.
I'm thinking Spitzer is more what I'm looking for in a comptroller.
