3-alarm fire breaks out in Midtown restaurant
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A 3-alarm fire broke out at the TGI Fridays in the heart of Midtown at 604 5th Avenue at 48th Street on Friday night.
According to the FDNY, the fire started around 9 p.m. in the restaurant's basement and traveled through the building's duct work six floors to the roof.
Patrons who were dining at the restaurant and employees were able to get out in time.
