Bill would expand TAP eligibility for students

By TIFFANY BROOKS

Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis and Sen. Andrew Lanza have introduced two bills to help college students and their families pay for the rising cost of education.

The first bill (A.9554/S.7248) would increase the household income cap from $80,000 to $100,000 for students to qualify for the Tuition Assistance Program.

The second bill (A.9555/S.7249) would restore TAP for graduate students.
