Village Voice union staffers reach deal, avoid strike

The unionized workers at The Village Voice resolved their labor dispute with management and ratified a new contract, the union said in a press release late Sunday.

UAW Local 2110, which represents editorial and sales employees at the Voice, had authorized a strike last Wednesday, but was offered and accepted a new contract on Thursday.
