U.S. Rep. Dan Maffei had an opportunity Wednesday to share a photo of his newborn daughter with America's Father-in-Chief.
Maffei, D-Syracuse, and members of the House Democratic Caucus attended a working reception at the White House hosted by President Barack Obama. Members of the president's Cabinet also were in attendance.
At the reception, Maffei's office said the congressman and president had a brief conversation. During the exchange, Obama congratulated Maffei on the birth of his daughter, Maya.
