Bratton to tour crime-plagued neighborhoods

Azi Paybarah

Police commissioner Bill Bratton plans to visit some of the city’s most crime-plagued precincts this evening as part of the annual National Night Out Against Crime.

According to Bratton's public schedule, his first stop will be Manhattan's 7th Precinct, followed by the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx, the 73rd Precinct in Brooklyn, the 103rd Precinct in Queens and then the 122nd Precinct on Staten Island.

Murders and shootings in the 122 Precinct have held steady so far this year compared to 2013, according to NYPD statistics. However, other precincts Bratton plans to visit have struggled to reduce crime.

I hope he does well. He needs to hear people's concerns and complaints. hrmjustin Aug 2014 #2
