Ed Rendell: New York the favorite to land the 2016 Democratic National Convention

Even former Philadelphia mayor and Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell thinks New York will beat Philly in its quest to win the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

“The money makes New York the favorite,” said Rendell, also a former DNC chairman, on host John Catsimatidis radio show Sunday.

The Dems were burned when they got left holding the bag for a $25 million debt after host city Charlotte failed to raise enough cash for the 2012 convention and favor New York because it has so many high-dollar donors, he said.
