Gov. Cuomo gets branded as 'corrupt' by Republican and Democratic challengers in debate

KEN LOVETT
Gov. Cuomo's Democratic and Republicans opponents both branded him as “corrupt” during an unusual pre-primary inter-party radio debate Thursday morning.

Insurgent Democratic primary challenger Zephyr Teachout and Republican nominee Rob Astorino agreed to debate each other on WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show” after Cuomo refused to go head-to-head with Teachout before Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

During the 50-minute, the two took the time to spell out their differences with each other, but mainly focused their attacks on the absent Cuomo, who for a second straight day has no public schedule.

When asked directly by Lehrer whether they consider Cuomo, who is under federal investigation for his administration’s potential interference with his anti-corruption commission, corrupt, both said they did.

He pissed off our local Democrats this week. Really pissed us off.

Near as I can tell, we're all either voting for Teachout or not voting at all. Well, for Governor, anyway. We've got a great candidate for state Assembly and we really want to sent our Congressman back to DC.

Just too bad that the asshole at the head of the ticket has to spoil it.
