I flew into and out of the city at Laguardia. The 7 train took you from Grand Central into Brooklyn from Manhattan and there was a bus that took you to the airport. It wasn't much more than a buck or two to get there. The taxi might have been some twenty bucks, or more.

Flying east, you might fly directly over Shea Stadium. If you were lucky the lights would be on and you could see baseball happening. That alone was a reason to have a window seat.

Love baseball, the best sport on the planet.


Happy Springtime to you. The Tigers are doing pretty well, too.

The 7 line is still there and the new stadium is much better.
