Actually that shutterstock photo in the beginning makes no sense because they put the wave above 34th Street. The photo was taken looking to the south.

Super Storm Sandy, some area of Sheeps Head Bay routinely flood..still portions of Manhattan not fixed from the flooding. You can only build so many sea walls.
