Entire Block of Clinton Hill Voters Omitted From Rolls, Poll Worker Says

Alexandra Leon

CLINTON HILL — An entire block of Clinton Hill residents was left off the voter’s registration list at one local polling station during Tuesday’s primary election, according to poll workers.

At least seven voters who live on Lafayette Avenue and were assigned to vote at P.S. 11 in Clinton Hill, at 419 Waverly Ave., did not show up on the list and had to cast their vote by filling out an affidavit, poll workers said.

"Over the course of the day we had quite a few residents of the Lafayette Avenue area who came looking to vote and for some reason their addresses were omitted from the voter registration lists,” said a poll worker who did not want to be identified because she called in sick from work to be at the polling site.

“They were pretty active voters, so it was pretty disappointing for them during a key time and a key period to not be able to officially cast their vote in a machine today.”

1. So where are those Hill supporters who think the rules are the rules.

It was okay for Sanders voters and Independents who had the Democratic registrations changed. But how long before they change their tune now that it impacts Hillary? What a crock.

6. The switches are happening to DEMOCRATS, not specific HRC or Sanders voters.

It happens to Democratic voters in EVERY ELECTION, and in every state where GOP wants to suppress Dem votes, and it is part of a process called caging which Republican operatives pursue vigorously.

Democrats AND Republican, will not be able to vote in this primary. One of you is incorrect. I'll take Ari for the facts.

8. Because they are not registered with a party

That's where that 27% comes from

The voter-registration deadline for the April 19 primary closed 25 days beforehand, when no candidate had even campaigned in New York, and independent or unaffiliated voters had to change their party registrations by October 9, 193 days before April 19, to vote in the closed Democratic or Republican primaries. This will disenfranchise nearly 30 percent of New Yorkers, including, most famously, the Trump children, who didn’t change their registrations from independent to Republican in time.

It’s easy to poke fun at the ignorance of Trump’s kids, but 3 million registered New Yorkers won’t be able to vote in the state’s primary because they are not affiliated with the Democratic or Republican parties. Election Day voter registration, which also increases voter turnout by up to 10 percent, would solve this problem.

not wanting to do anything about people who did their registrations properly and getting written verification of such. Then they later checked with the Elctions Office to find their statuses changed to either Independent or No Party Preference. It was the hypocracy of their attitude of "tough luck, voters".

Sanders voters pretending that this is about their votes is ridic though.

Ny has had and for the foreseeable future will have voting errors due to massive incompetence and voter disenfranchisement. This is an issue just not a Bernie Hillary issue
