Cuomo Signs Executive Order Letting NY Voters Cast Ballots At Any Polling Place

This answers my question from the other night. Good news.

Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order Monday that will allow registered New York voters in counties affected by Sandy to vote by affidavit Tuesday at any polling place in the state.

However, voters must cast their ballots within their state legislative district in order to have their vote count towards associated races, such as for State Senate or State Assembly.

Voters who cast their ballots outside their state legislative districts will only be able to vote in the presidential and U.S. Senate races.

All New York City voters are now allowed vote by affidavit, as well as residents of Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk and Westchester counties.
