Brentwood clerk pulls machete on armed robber

BRENTWOOD (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are looking for the man who tried to rob a Suffolk County grocery at gunpoint.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. on September 25.

Surveillance pictures show the moment the suspect pulled a gun on a clerk inside the Stop & Shop Deli on Crooked Hill Road in Brentwood.

Police say the clerk then pulled out a machete and chased the robber out of the store northbound through the parking lot.
