Paraglider killed in crash into rive

NEW HAMPTON – A man who was paragliding in the New Hampton area late Wednesday afternoon died when he crashed into the Wallkill River, State Police said.

Pronounced dead at the scene was Rupert Cebular, 47, of New York City, police said.

Cebular and another man were each operating paragliders from Randall Airport, a small strip near Middletown.
