De Blasio to be sworn in as NYC mayor at midnight

AP

NEW YORK -- Bill de Blasio will be sworn in as mayor of New York City at his home in Brooklyn during the first moments of 2014.

De Blasio announced Monday that state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman will officiate at the "intimate" ceremony at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.

Former President Bill Clinton will preside at a public swearing-in at noon Wednesday in front of City Hall.

The midnight ceremony at de Blasio's home in Park Slope will be private but will be streamed live on NYC.gov. Still photos will be posted on Flickr.
