Orange County GOP Chairman Takes Leave Of Absence After Alleged Sexting Incident Surfaces

The chairman of the upstate Orange County Republican Committee has taken a leave of absence days after an embarrassing alleged sexting incident surfaced.

“I do not want personal matters to become a distraction from the important work of the Republican Committee, or the outstanding qualifications of our candidates this election year,” Mr. Krahulik said in a statement released by the committee.

It's unclear how long he'll be out of power or if it is a permanent vacation.

"In the wake of recent events, Orange County Republican Committee Chairman Robert Krahulik has taken a voluntary leave of absence from his leadership role in the committee," the committee statement said. "Committee First Vice Chairwoman Courtney Canfield-Greene will temporarily assume the Chairperson role,
effective immediately."
