2 dead, 1 wounded in Newburgh trailer dispute

NEWBURGH, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police in Newburgh say two people were killed and another critically wounded after an apparent dispute erupted into violence.

At about 4:50 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of a possible stabbing at 37 Mountain View Avenue.

Officers found Bruce Montanya, 60, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by EMS personnel and taken to Westchester Medical Center.

Officers then found the body of Bertha Williams, 78, on the front steps of the house next door, #39 Mountain View Avenue. She had multiple stab wounds.
