Sunday-Monday Snowstorm Could Now Dump Up To 10 Inches

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The skies were tranquil – albeit over bitter cold air – as the month of March began Saturday morning.

But don’t get used to the chilly, but calm sunshine. As if there hadn’t been enough of them already, yet another winter storm is coming – and just in time to make the Monday morning commute a disaster.

A winter storm watch has been issued from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon for the five boroughs of New York City, as well as all of Long Island and northeast New Jersey.

CBS 2 Meteorologist John Marshall forecast a wintry mix blowing in beginning Sunday around 3 p.m., with the heaviest accumulations to the south.

We had some heavy snow fall, this morning. It's supposed to start back up tonight and we could get about 4 inches by tomorrow afternoon. Probably the same storm heading to New York.

Last year, by this time, I'm pretty sure my daffodils were up and the ones next to the house were ready to bloom. This year I was outside at 4am, trudging through the deep snow because I thought I heard water running, and was terrified a pipe had burst. Fortunately, it was all just my paranoid imagination.

I am willing to bet the county will wait until Monday morning, before doing much road clearing. Hopefully people will just stay home, if we get a heavy snowfall. Fortunately, this morning's snow fall shouldn't cause too much trouble.
