WTC Victims' Families Attend Terror Trial Downtown

Several family members of victims of the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks will attend the federal trial Monday of the son-in-law of Osama bin Laden where another convicted terror suspect is expected to testify.

Saajid Badat was convicted in 2001 for plotting to take down an American Airlines flight from Paris to Miami with explosives hidden in his shoes.

Serving time in London, he will appear in court today via video.

Prosecutors say Badat heard Bin Laden's son in law, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith speak to al-Qaeda recruits months prior to the September 11th attacks.
