Eric Schneiderman shrugs off loss of control over housing settlement money

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman doesn't care who controls the state's share of the JP Morgan Chase housing settlement funds as long as they go toward their intended purposes--solving foreclosure and housing issues in the state, a spokesman for the AG insisted Monday.

The Daily News reported in Monday's editions that the new state budget being passed today wrests control of the remaining $440 million in settlement funds from Schneiderman and gives it to the governor and Legislature
