GREENSBORO — Warren Buffett told Berkshire Hathaway’s shareholders four years ago that the company would not buy most newspapers at any price.
But as the recession abated and newspapers began to find ways of making money from Internet content, the famed investor who leads the company realized that many newspapers remained profitable.
That led Berkshire Hathaway’s BH Media Group to buy the News & Record, effective this morning.
