Elon Poll: N.C. residents still down on President Trump (Updated)

ELON — President Donald Trump still isn’t very popular in North Carolina.
An Elon University Poll released Tuesday found that the president’s approval rating among N.C. voters did tick up by about 2 percentage points since October.
However, most people don’t think Trump is doing a good job in the White House. Only 37 percent of N.C. voters surveyed approve of his job performance. Another 57 percent disapprove.
The Elon Poll’s authors suggest that the president’s tour of Asia might have a little something to do with the slightly rosier results.
