Anyone here volunteering to get out the vote?

Hi, I’ve been looking at the polls and other data on the Senate races and thinking about making calls to persuade dems to come out to vote...

Looks like compared to the other tossup Senate races, each voter in ND carries much more weight, so calls can make more of a difference here.
This is from https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-midterm-election-forecast/senate/?ex_cid=midterms-header

Voter power index
North Dakota 29.0
Nevada 9.2
Montana 8.0
Tennessee 4.2
West Virginia 3.6

Wondering what your on the ground experience has been, for anyone who’s been making calls or canvassing...?

Support for Joe Donnelly has been what I would call Blue Wave-esque. A lot of Democrats I've talked with while canvassing say that they've never voted in midterms before, but are excited to vote for Donnelly this November.

Registration is supercritical, I keep fantasizing about boosting turnout that way. Putting us beyond the credible reach of tampering thugs. Thanks for all you’re doing!

of Illinois. You would be surprised how many Democrats I am finding.

Now I have received a summons for jury duty on October 16. That is right when I want to be making my final push. Darn.

I am finding people fed up with repiggies, people who have moved into the area and people who are Democrats but do not vote in primaries.

The party needs good volunteers who show up and do whatever is needed, calling voters, giving them rides, arranging rides. Now it also includes contacting voters to have them make sure their voter registration is up to date prior to the cut off date to register.

Back when I was doing GOTV for Kerry in inner city Cleveland, OH we were stunned by the number of folks who’d gotten calls from the OH Sec of State’s office (who happened to be Bush’s OH campaign chair) “informing” them they couldn’t vote because, e.g., they hadn’t voted in the last election, or even because their brother was in jail! Cretins stooping to new lows all the time. We have to prioritize fixing our election system, job #1!
