Detective accused of drug trafficking, extortion
MOUNT VERNON (AP) — The FBI says 44-year-old Matthew Dailey, of Howard, misused his job with Mount Vernon police to traffic in narcotics, extort people and use a firearm in drug-trafficking activities.
Dailey was arrested on a criminal complaint containing those charges. Dailey has worked for the Mount Vernon police for about two decades.
Mount Vernon is about 40 miles northeast of Columbus.
