1. GET REGISTERED
Get registered to vote with your current name, at your current address, by 30 days
before Election Day.
To be registered to vote for the November 6th, 2012 general election, you need to
register no later than October 9th, 2012.

2. WHAT TO BRING

MAKE SURE YOU BRING One of the following forms of ID, with your current name
and address on it, to the polls to make sure your vote counts
:
A current and valid photo identification card issued by the State of Ohio or the
United States government that won’t be expired by Election Day or was issued
within one year of Election Day; OR
• A military identification ("military ID&quot ; OR
• An original or copy of a current utility bill; OR
• An original or copy of a current bank statement; OR
• An original or copy of a current government check; OR
• An original or copy of a current paycheck; OR
• An original or copy of a current other government document, other than
a voter registration acknowledgement notification mailed by the board
of elections, that shows the voter’s name and current address.

3. VOTE!
Election Day is Tuesday November 6, 2012. Polls in Ohio will be
open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

VOTE EARLY:
Ohio has early in-person voting. For the vast majority of voters, the early in-person
voting period begins on October 2nd, 2012, and extends through at least November
2nd, 2012, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time depending on pending changes to current law.
There are exceptions for uniformed services, overseas voters, and for voters
hospitalized due to emergencies.

VOTE ABSENTEE:
All Ohio voters have the opportunity to vote in the next Primary or General Election
from the convenience of their own homes by requesting an absentee ballot. You can
request your ballot for each individual election beginning on January 1st, 2012, or 90
days before the date of an election; whichever is earlier. Your request must be
received by your local county board of elections by noon on the third day before the
election (usually a Saturday).
