Saccone spent $435,172 in taxpayer money using his expense account.

The expenses records, obtained by The Intercept through a Pennsylvania Right to Know Act request, show that in his first seven years as a state representative, Saccone spent $435,172 in taxpayer money using his expense account.

but I'm sure his fellow Repubs will guide him in the right way.

Hopefully, he will lose and embarrass Pres. Dennison.

Most Pennsylvanians, and I am one, think it's fairly outrageous to have such a high per diem rate, esp when an 87,000+ salary puts state legislators in the top 10% of all US wage earners. Then, they also can be vested in a defined benefit pension after 7 or 10 years in office.

Personally, I'm not opposed to being reimbursed for mileage driving to/from Harrisburg, or any business travel. That alone would cover the tolls and gas when driving, no need for $175/day in meals.

One of the big reasons that we ousted Rick Santorum was that he used PA taxpayer $$ to educated his kids who were living in Virginia. This point should be made in the 2 days remaining.
