"Pennsylvania is going to have a federally mandated health insurance exchange, whether Gov. Corbett likes it or not. Pennsylvania has moved more slowly than some states but is making progress toward a health insurance exchange even with a governor who opposes the federal health care law, the Patriot-News reported yesterday. The purpose of the exchange is to provide an online store where individuals and small businesses can compare and buy health insurance. Other goals include making health insurance easier to understand and creating more competition among insurers.
So of course the Guv is suing to stop it. While the governor believes that the law requiring the purchase of health insurance is unconstitutional, we must be prepared if the Supreme Court does not strike down the law, [spokeswoman Rosanne] Placey said.
Not working to get Pennsylvanians the best possible health care, just getting something done to stay on the right side of the law. About 2 million uninsured Pennsylvania residents are expected to seek coverage through the exchange. So its not like its important to do it right."

(18,219 posts)what would be wrong with an informational website for health insurance comparisons?
Isn't competition the capitalist way? I can't figure out why Corbutt would be so opposed to this. Any ideas???
