http://www.politicspa.com/congressional-vulnerability-rankings-august-edition/39261/This analysis ranks the most competitive US House races within PA as:
1. Critz (D) vs. Rothfus
2. Fitzpatrick (R) vs. Broockvar
3. Gerlach (R) vs. Trivedi
4. Tim Murphy (R) vs. Maggi
All four of these seats are held by incumbents. The remaining US House seats in PA are unlikely to change parties. Let's put our energies where they can be most useful.
Critz is having to deal with a revised district where many voters do not know him.

(13,262 posts)I'd given up on it, since Gerlach beat Trivedi in 2010, and we're in an area that tends to keep its Republican congressmen for decades at a time.
Gerlach has been sending out glossy mailings explaining how Obama is going to take away your medicare,
regularly since about three days after the last election. I haven't seen anything from Trivedi except through direct e-mail to his own list.

(7,170 posts)We only see Fitzpatrick signs and he is bombing us with phone calls. No sign whatsoever of Broockvar. I wish it were different. I am working on the Obama campaign and I see nothing for Broockvar. Not optimistic

(28,394 posts)I did get fund-raising request from Ed Rendell today, though. So maybe they (the party) aren't going to abandon Maggi like they do previous democratic candidates.
Also, I read that the Tea Party is pouring a lot of money into Rothfus' campaign coffers.
