I voted straight democratic and when I was reviewing my ballot, I noticed Kim Ward is running as both a Democrat and as a Republican. She is most certainly a Republican. I didn't know much about the Independent but that is who I changed the ballot to.

(28,394 posts)I also voted for the Independent... but for all I know he could have been a tea-bagger! I don't even remember his name.
Why didn't we know about that?

(18,219 posts)for my area yesterday....to make sure there were no surprises when I went to vote. I do this before every election since the time there were some sort of resolutions on the ballot that I had never heard about. I do not appreciate trying to decide on something like that at the voting machine.
I go to the League of Women Voters SmartVoter site.
