Graphic shows how Republican gerrymandering in PA has interfered with your right to be heard in DC

Here's the infamous Donald Duck kicking Goofy congressional district in eastern PA. Unfortunately, there were no legal standards for the redistricting in PA. That means that it was almost impossible for the Democrats to go to court to challenge any of these districts.

(There were a few legal standards that allowed a challenge of state house and senate district boundaries).

isn't a district. It's a Rorschach test - literally. If you can look at that and still insist that nothing is wrong with such blatant gerrymandering, you might be a wingnut.

They gerrymandered all those old democratic steel towns along the Mon into a toney republican Pittsburgh suburb.

That set up a race between Mascara and John Murtha for District 12 after the 2000 census gerrymandering.

This time they took District 12, tailor gerrymandered it for Keith Rothfus. Rothfus then finally moved his family into the district and ran against Democrat Mark Critz, who had taken Murtha's place.

Now, District 12 runs the whole way from Cambria County to the Ohio border. It's ridiculous, not to mention the District is now represented by a hardline teabagger named Rothfus.
