in the last couple of elections, when the Voter ID law was not going to be in effect, and we are talking real money wasted.

But I suppose that Corbutt and his Repub buddies don't see it as wasted money if it intimidates Democratic voters. Bastards.

The Corbettites were very very slow to take down ads that voter ID was required - the first time the law was suspended by the court. Suspiciously, the outdated ads in Spanish were the last ones to be removed.

By the way, the new priority of the Republican House of Rep. is to require every school district to post a sign saying "In God We Trust" in every classroom. Real reform of charter school funding will have to wait, even though excessive millions continue to be diverted from poverty-striken public schools to overfund cybercharters with horrible results.

well after the law was put on hold. The excuse, if I remember, was that they had already been scheduled and they couldn't stop them. Sure.

You have hit a nerve with me with the comment about a "priority" of posting "In God We Trust" signs in every classroom. I am trained as a Biology teacher, although that is not what I do, and I would absolutely refuse to have that sign in my classroom. This bullshit about the problems in the schools being linked to "removing god" from schools infuriates me. They get stuck on the silliest notions and refuse to look any further for solutions....like stopping the hemorrhage of money from public schools.
