Corbett has a great new idea to solve the problem of inadequately funded city schools full of low-income minority students.

The staff of those schools would then lecture the staffs of "low performing schools" (which translates to schools full of poor minority kids, many of whom speak English as a second language).

The staff of the rich schools would tell the staff of the poor schools what they should be doing. Maybe encouraging them to start a polo team, or telling them to form an advisory committee of the parents that have PhDs.

Maybe instead, he should get the money that is being used for 15 assistant football coaches at the rich high schools and use it to hire back some of the laid-off math teachers at the poor schools.
