Our illustrious Governor has been running radio ads bragging about the remarkable "private sector" job growth in PA. He doesn't mention the 42,000 public sector jobs destroyed during his time in office - mostly in public schools.
But what is more remarkable about this remarkable job growth is that on a percentage basis, PA ranks 46th out of the 50th states.
Also, if you look closely at Corbett's various claims and compare them, every single job that was created would have had to have been from the fracking industry. So in effect, he is saying there were no new jobs created in the Philadelphia area or any other area without fracking activity (unless you count lobbyists).
Excerpt of link:
"But a much different picture emerges when the job growth is put into a national context.
Although a Web ad on the campaign website describes the private sector job gains as remarkable, Pennsylvanias rate of private sector job growth during Corbetts governorship was 2.8 percent. That ranks 46th out of 50 states. In fact, Pennsylvanias 2.8 percent increase is less than half the national average of 5.8 percent during that period. In other words, private sector job growth in Pennsylvania is not so remarkable when compared with the performance of most other states around the country."
We got beaten by Arkansas, Alabama and West Virginia.

Tom Terrific doesn't realize that there are such things as numbers and statistics----all of which will be used to prove him wrong on such incredulous claims.
