Just checking out my ballot for next week and it pisses me off

It's not bad enough that there are no delegates for Sanders, we still have uncontested races for Assembly and Congressional districts.
I have a suggestion for the party "leadership". How about building up the party from the ground up? Quit pissing away resources one one or two big elections that you feel you might win!
Take the party big time, get out in every neighborhood and let the people know you work for them.
My guess? If you did that, there wouldn't be 10% who would say they wouldn't vote for a Democrat.
Edit to correct: there are 3 delegates for Sanders. Going to do a phone search to see if I can find other potential write in delegates.

Well, it costs time and money. Why not volunteer to canvass the neighborhoods yourself? stopbush Apr 2016 #2

Have you passed your ideas along to your local D party? If so, what was their reaction? stopbush Apr 2016 #6

If you don't have the time, make a donation t the local D party to help offset expenses.

I assume you are a member of the D party who already contributes $ to their efforts.

I moved back here in 2002 and treid to get involved in the local party. They could have just as well told me to go piss up a rope. I got involved with a township Democratic club and that was nothing more than a coffee clatch. Lots of flapping jaws and a couple of weeks introducing local candidates.
Since I now can't legally drivve I'm basically a shut in. My social network is basically zero. Those few friends, aquaintances, and neighbors are happy in their willful ignorance. You point that condescending tone at me, just think how many others you might be pissing off.
Just remember we don't all have the same resources and skills to fight for a better world. I do what I can even it is just pissing in the ocean.

Is there a post office within walking distance? Take a few forms and pens (black ink) and stand in front of the Post Office and ask people if they are registered. Help them fill out the form and drop it in the mail. You will be amazed at how great it feels to empower others to become participating citizens. Once you do it, you will want to again and again.

join the central committee in your county. Join the Democratic Club and work to make things more democratic. We seem to think that "they" will do something when democracy requires participation.
