Pitt protest ends with arrests at dorm

Police arrested two protesters Thursday night after a demonstration against President-elect Donald Trump, student debt and a variety of social injustices turned violent inside a University of Pittsburgh dormitory building.

About 100 mostly college-age people gathered for a protest about 5 p.m. at the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh campus.

At one point before the group started marching, a student talking into a loudspeaker said “It's our right to protest, but it's our duty to protest peacefully.”

He was met with boos.

One protester replied "you protest your way, I'll protest mine."
