Doing our part - contacting Congress

I don't think it takes many calls to make congresscritters nervous, even ones like mine (Rothfus) who are in heavily gerrymandered and pretty safe seats. I called the DC office and politely let his staffer know that I am independent-minded voter and don't want to see cuts in soc sec, medicare or medicaid. I used biggestuscities.com to find demographic info about my district so I could point out how many constituents would be affected by the new admin's policy proposals.

We have made a promise to seniors that Medicare and Social Security will be there for them, and I am committed to keeping that promise.

If you are in the 12th CD that sprawls from the Ohio border to Johnstown, let Rothfus know you're watching.
