Man losing battle with PPL to keep electricity his sick wife depends on

As crazy as it sounds, it's probably a good thing Cindy Oxford is in a physical rehab facility right now.

She relies on oxygen and other medical equipment to help her breathe and the equipment might not work in the near future because PPL has threatened to shut off the electricity to her Coplay apartment.

Her husband, Dennis Oxford, believed that couldn't happen to someone for whom electricity is medically necessary, even if he is behind on his bill.

That's not the case. An illness can delay termination of service, but that delay is not indefinite and other terms must be met, including making an arrangement to pay off the overdue balance.
