Democratic poll shows Rep. DesJarlais now faces tough challenge

The Democrat challenging GOP Rep. Scott DesJarlais says the contest has become a "dead heat" following news that the Tennessee physician had an affair with a patient and urged her to get an abortion.

DesJarlais has been a heavy favorite to win a second term against Democratic state Sen. Eric Stewart. But poll numbers released by Stewart's campaign Wednesday indicate the Democrat has pulled to within 5 points in the wake of the scandal — a statistical tie based on the 4.9 percentage point margin of error.

disses Stewart's praise for the Affordable Care Act...in big, bold letters Desjarlais alleges "bureaucrats between doctors and patients." Hmmmm....but he apparently thinks "sex between doctors and patients" is OK? Also hilarious is listening to some of the sanctimonious teabaggers twisting their vaunted "values" in knots trying to defend the SOB.
