Shelby County Commission approves $2.5M restaurant, hospitality workers relief fund

A $2.5 million county relief fund for restaurant and hospitality industry workers should be taking applications by the end of this month.

The Shelby County Commission approved the relief fund Monday, Jan. 11, on an 8-5 party line vote.

Harris says restaurant workers relief aimed at those most affected

All five Republican commissioners voted against the fund and all eight Democratic commissioners voted for it.
