Ideas for turning Texas and the South blue :)

This is a cross-post from GD, where I started a thread to collect and discuss ideas for turning us blue. It's been viewed a fair number of times, but only has a handful of posters discussing things. It was created partly out of the vitriolic threads against the South as a means of building bridges and bringing us together for a common goal.

I thought RainDog had a good idea for outreach to women voters, in helping them get their ID in proper order for the new law. Here's the link to the thread so y'all can see for yourselves

City, County, or State stand up for Social Security. Even though this City and County are dependent on Social Security income.

The Republicans have come out for cuts in Social Security and against Social Security. Make sure that everyone knows how important Social Security is not just to the individual but to the economics of the community, county, and State. Here are the 2012 figures by zip code, they might surprise you,

The down ticket Republican candidates have to sign a fealty oath, so we should be able to tie them to their crazies. Make sure that everybody knows that Republicans consider anyone on Social Security as a moocher or a leach.

And thanks, too, for the reminder that we have to educate people about how SS works, and how the Rs think. I suspect it's going to be easier to convince more people of the Rs ulterior motives now...
