Worker falls four stories at Kyle Field construction site

A worker on the Kyle Field construction site fell four stories and was sent to an area hospital this afternoon, Texas A&M police said.

According to Rebecca Watts, senior communications specialist with the university, the worker is a 25-year-old male. She said the man fell from the fourth level landing on the northeast side of the stadium.

The exact nature of his inuries is not yet known. He was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan for treatment.

The incident occurred just after 11 a.m.

Kyle Field is currently undergoing a $425 million-plus renovation that will increase seating capacity. The field is also being raised and new turf will be installed. Nearby G. Rollie White Coliseum is being demolished to make way for the additions to the field.

Good thing no one is hungry there
