The Power to Lose at the PowertoChoose.org (electricity deregulation)

Shopping around for an electricity provider isn't as simple as comparing rates at the PowertoChoose.org. There are hundreds of plans available with enough options to make you think electricity deregulation has been a complete failure. (it is)

I created a spreadsheet with the last 12 months of kWh used.

The I would plug in the cost per kWh, the monthly fee, and any penalties if usage was less than 1000. It would calculate how much per month I would have spent last year per month and a total. It would also calculate the effective rate so I could really compare.

And you thought the power to choose was going to be easy.......

p.s. I have an update posted. It got worse.
