The League City City Council voted to contribute $20,000 of tax dollars to host Ted Nugent for a benefit for Operation Finally Home. From Operation Finally Home:
Operation Finally Home was founded in 2005 as a non-partisan/non-profit organization with the mission to provide Americans the ability to honor and thank Americas wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed to defend our country in the global War on Terror.
Here is a non-partisan organization, with the help of the League City City Council, raising money for military personnel by bringing in a partisan, never served in the military, low life scum that calls the Commander of the military a "subhuman mongrel". Nugent's vile and threatening comments towards the Commander in Chief of the United States military earned him a visit by the Secret Service. This is the person the City Council invited to honor our members of the military.
God bless Operation Finally Home for providing homes for a select few members of the military, *&^damn League City for inviting and paying $20,000 for that coward Ted Nugent to appear. There sure are a lot of idiots in Texas.

(9,128 posts)I would think that even right-wingers would have done their homework before booking Ted Nugent. At the very least, the ruckus about Ted appearing with Greg Abbot might have inspired some power-that-be in League City to look up Nugent's lyrics concerning young girls. The recent uproar might also have inspired someone in League City to look up Ted's run-in with Selective Service. Ted's trashing the President ought to have made someone think twice; after all, IOKALAYAAR only goes so far, and you don't want to give them libs ideas that it'll be OK to trash a Republican President.
I'm not advocating compulsory PC here for right-wingers (although I'm all for their wising-up). But I'd think that there was a right-wing rock and roll band with good sound and more class than Ted Nugent.
Of course there's always Country & Western.
